The road to closing day.

From your Agreement of Purchase & Sale to the moment the keys are in your hand, here is how the closing process unfolds with Ironstone.

What "closing" really means

Closing is the process that turns a signed agreement into a home that's truly yours. It moves from paperwork to possession in a few clear stages, and at every one of them, you have people working on your behalf.

Buying a new home involves more than choosing a floor plan and a finish. Once your offer is accepted, a sequence of steps quietly gets underway behind the scenes: your paperwork is reviewed, your home is inspected, the final details are signed off, and the transaction is settled. We've laid that journey out below so you always know what comes next.

The good news is that you don't have to navigate it alone. Your realtor, your lawyer, and your Ironstone team each have a defined role to play, and the path from agreement to keys follows the same dependable rhythm for every buyer.

The closing process, step by step

Five stages take you from a signed agreement to the front door of your new home.

01

Set the process in motion

You or your realtor provide a copy of the Agreement of Purchase & Sale to your lawyer, which begins the closing process.

Your lawyer and your inspection

Two people anchor the closing process: the lawyer who handles your paperwork, and the Ironstone representative who walks your finished home with you.

Your lawyer is central to closing from the very first step. Once they receive your Agreement of Purchase & Sale, they begin the work that carries through to the closing date, and as that date approaches, they guide you through the final steps and the paperwork that finalizes the transaction.

The Pre-Delivery Inspection is your opportunity to see the home before it's officially yours. Your Ironstone PDI representative walks you through it and shares practical guidance on home maintenance, so you move in already knowing how to care for the place you've chosen.

We guide you the whole way

Closing should feel like a sequence of clear, expected moments, not a string of surprises. With your realtor, your lawyer, and your Ironstone team each playing their part, the journey from signing to possession stays steady and understandable. When the keys are released on closing day, it's the natural conclusion of a process you've been able to see coming the entire time.
